Class A CDL Driver
Previous fire contract work is highly desired, but not required. Fire training opportunity is also available, but not required.
Position summary
Responsible for safely and efficiently hauling construction equipment, landscape supplies, and other materials to and from customer job sites. Pre- and post-trip your assigned truck, and keep a daily log of all work performed.

Objectives
- Ensure the safety of yourself, crew members, and others by following all laws, regulations, and policies set forth by federal, state, local, and company officials.
- Comply with all regulations governing trucking — including driving hours, weight restrictions, permits, load securement, and documentation requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with the pickup and delivery process and addressing concerns professionally.
- Deliver material and equipment on time, adhering to schedules set by the client and Tumalo Transport.
- Maintain effective communication with crew members and supervisors, providing timely reports and updates.
- Regularly inspect your assigned vehicle to maintain performance, efficiency, and roadworthiness.
- Continuously improve your skills through training, mentorship, and career development we make available — with the ultimate goal of moving into a leadership position here.
Education & experience
- Valid Class A CDL — Class A only, we are not hiring Class B drivers
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transfer, dump truck, end dump, or equipment hauling combinations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
